A sewing machine can become a source of livelihood and a level of independence for widows and house wives. It can augment the income of poor families.
The Province is running a training centre for imparting basic skills in tailoring. After the initiation, the trainees are provided with a sewing machine each.
|Cost of an ordinary sewing machine||US $||150.00|
Cattle rearing is another source of income and self-sufficiency for the ladies in the remote areas. They try to earn the family’s livelihood by selling cattle milk and milk products to the neighbours and the dealers. Providing a cow or any other cattle would serve the purpose of being self-sufficient. We try to help those most deserving cases by providing some domestic animal that would help them to support their livelihood.
