Good News Retreat Center at Kottayam,Pambady is set in a beautiful countryside of Kerala,India formed in 1998 and directed by Fr. Joseph Kandathiparamabil, a spirit filled vibrant priest of Herald of Good News congregation. This retreat center helps thousands of people every day to experience the love, healing and touch of Jesus Christ through spirit filled worship, prayers, talks and music.

A note from Rev. Fr. Siby Peedikayil (Provincial Superior)

Fr. Joseph Kandathiparambil is a member of St. Paul Province of Heralds of Good News. Heralds of Good News is a Missionary Society of Priests of Pontifical Right. The specific aim of the society is to train and supply dedicated and hardworking missionaries wherever there is need in the Church. Currently Fr. Joseph Kandathiparambil is serving in Good News Retreat Centre, Pampady, Kerala directing retreats. He has dedicated his life for the proclamation of the Gospel and the service of the poor.He announces the saving Gospel of Christ in many countries. He leads people to the experience of God and his mercies particularly through the "Tapas" ( fasting) Retreats. Many people have experienced through tapas retreats the strength to the face sufferings and carry their daily cross. Fasting helps us to raise our minds to God, overcome temptations and receive the blessings of the Holy Spirit. It is a weapon against the powers of evil. One obtains liberation from the bondage of sin and evil through devout prayer and penance. Jesus has said that "This kind not come out expect by prayer and fasting" ( Matt 17:21).

Fr. Joseph is also the Director of Good News Ammavedu, a Centre for destitute men and women at Pampady, Kerala. This home is his dream come true to look after the suffering destitute for the love of Christ.
